The background story begins when Kenji and his ex girlfriend broke up and he mistakenly texted Athena and the story goes on.
The book is for teenagers who are searching for a rom-com novels that will be their all time favorite. story starts when a gangster Kenji Delos Reyes start texting a girl named Athena Dizon. Later on they decided to make Kenji’s girlfriend jealous by making Athena as her as if girl friend. Time pass by they became close. Later they develop feelings for each other and they became a couple but as the story goes on they meet obstacles that made their relationship miserable. The story ends when Athena died because of a serious illness and he wanted Kenji to live his life to the fullest even without her

I found She's Dating the Gangster interesting because of the flow of the story that made me smile and cry. In a way, She’s Dating the Gangster is its own tragedy. It’s a tragedy that could’ve been readily (though maybe not easily) avoided.

I was impressed how the author ends the story like it is an unexpected ending that it makes the story an all time favorite but I wish that they didn’t kill the main character and they live happily in the future.

It reminds of  one of the greatest love stories, Romeo and Juliet . In the play’s climactic end, seconds are all that separate tragedy from triumph. Had Juliet woken up seconds sooner, or had Romeo arrived seconds later, maybe Shakespeare’s classic love story wouldn’t have ended in tragedy.

For me , I will give this book a 100% rating because of those unexpected and interesting flow of the story that gives us nerves as we read the novel . I will recommend this book for every teenager who loves romcom and pop fiction stories .This book will surely satisfy their desires.
